TP turns 4

For TP's birthday this year, he wanted 2 separate celebrations. The 1st was a BBQ party that he specifically wanted for relatives and non-Kinderland friends. The 2nd was a McDonalds' party at school.

Here are the photos from the party at home:

Au revoir Paris

This blog comes really late because of our hectic schedules back home, plus the re-settling back to life in Singapore. Nonetheless, I thought it would be good to document our last couple of weeks in Paris. This blog, after all, is intended to document the childhood of HY and TP, and was started when we were in Paris. Before we left Paris, it was hard selling our car because it was an auto. Good thing Imai helped us advertise it on the internet for the Japanese market and we got a couple of offers real soon after that. Naturally, we also had to do all the visits and activities that tourists do in Paris before we went home. First on the list was Eiffel Tower, or la tour eiffel, en français. We had planned to go up the tower for a while, but have always changed our minds upon seeing the queues below. Speaking of which, we'll remember the couple who tried to cut the queue a couple of places ahead of us and was told to join the queue. They were so embarassed they totally disappeared from the queue. Queue jumping - at Eiffel Tower, Disneyland, Gap, supermarkets, post offices, everywhere - we'll not miss it.

Taking a break at the 1st level. The kids also sent postcards from the post office there with the unique Eiffel Tower stamp. After this, we walked down the stairs. HY was so tired after that her legs were trembling.

Besides saying goodbye to Disneyland (the kids and HL were there almost every Wed with Mary, Clio and Triston), we also had to take them on a TGV ride, something we had promised TP for a long time. The last time we booked to Avignon we had to cancel because we had to rush back. So we took a short day trip to Arras, located about 1 hr by TGV north of Paris.

Then, there were the goodbyes as well. The kids had their farewell parties in school, while the adults had our gatherings as well - picnic at champs de mars, the Gala, dinner at the Imais, Boudets and Berthiers.
Here's a where's Wally moment. Try to find HY and TP at the fete de l'ecole performance
