1 year in France
A few recent events reminded us that we've been here for 1 year - our renewal of the carte de sejour and the Disneyland annual passes, our need to exchange our driving licenses for the local ones here, and the arrival of WJ's family. I thus thought it would be interesting to see how much the kids have changed since our arrival here in the city of lights, and merde.
Here are the noticeable differences:
- They've picked up quite a bit of French, but TP does get confused between French and English and switches between the 2 languages without realising it
- They like cheese, especially TP, who interestingly likes the strong flavoured, soft fromage
- They love their daily baguette, and we're now able to distinguish the good baguettes from the mediocre ones
- They realise that the world is actually a lot bigger than Kembangan and Kinderland, and that when its daytime here, it is morning time in Asia
- They know all the Disney characters really well after having gone to Disneyland almost every week when the weather is nice
- They look down at the pavement while walking in order to avoid stepping on ....
Somethings though, unfortunately, haven't changed:
- HY is still very explosive, maybe even more than before
- TP still refuses to walk or feed himself (at home)
